From Godzilla to Maleficent starring the wickedly captivating Angelina Jolie, 2014 is sure to be a blockbuster summer filled with on screen fantasy. Yet many of the best film projects of the year are based in reality. TESLA is one such film and brings an almost unreal kind of life of Nikola Tesla to audiences around the country this summer.
At the age of 28 Nikola Tesla arrived in New York from Europe in 1884 with one goal: to work with the greatest electrical engineer in the world: Thomas Edison. After a short stint working with Thomas Edison, Nikola Tesla created the Tesla Electric Light Company and attracted financing for what would become his first of many inventions that have paved the way to what is known today as the electric car.
Few know the work of Nikola Tesla, one of the greatest inventors and scientists to ever live. His contributions include AC Electricity, Induction Motor, Radio, Remote Control, x-ray, Turbines, in all totaling nearly 770 inventions to his credit. “TESLA” is a film that will enlighten, inspire, and educate audiences this summer becoming one of the must see independent films of 2014.
The first screening of “TESLA” will be at 12:00 pm on Saturday August 2, 2014 at the Stephen J Buck Memorial Theater, New Hope PA as part of the New Hope Film Festival. New Hope Film Festival will be host to filmmakers from 16 different countries debuting their films at this year’s annual event.
